Family Adoption

He went on to tell the people this parable: "A man planted a vineyard, rented it to some farmers and went away for a long time. At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed. He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty-handed. He sent still a third, and they wounded him and threw him out. "Then the owner of the vineyard said, 'What shall I do? I will send my son, whom I love; perhaps they will respect him.' "But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over. 'This is the heir,' they said. 'Let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. "What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others."
Luke 19:9-16
the power of story telling - Jesus had it! He could use a great story to convict hearts, to encourage the lost, to turn sinners away from their folly, to give hope to the needy. it's a gift. i don't have that gift. i'm pretty pathetic actually at telling stories of any type. but i am glad many great speakers have this gift, because the effect is exponentially great.

in preceding story of the farmer and his vineyard, his was delegating responsibility to some "unworthy" workers. they decided to reap the benefit of someone else's property, and in so doing, got caught and killed. that seems pretty extreme, but Jesus was extreme. He didn't lolligag around with those whom persecuted Him. he wanted the 'sheep' to know the importance of living in right attitude of the Son of God. i get this story. it's not about being afraid to delegate responsibility, it's about gentiles entering into the Presence of Jesus. i am a gentile, and i am so grateful that Jesus opened the veil so that i could come inot His radiant Presence. He made a way for me to become a kid.

Jesus,
thanks for endure the cross so that i could be saved thru You. may my gratitude motivate me to share my new life with others. may You be glorified thru these fews years i have here on earth. thanks for appointing me to Your servanthood. i love You.
In Jesus' Name ~ Amen!
